D.I.Y Lace Panel Skirt

This is the perfect DIY for a rainy day, simple, easy, and quick!

I had this plain skirt lying around, that I picked up for 1 pound in London when I studied abroad. I usually don't wear colors too much and since its super plain, so I decided to do something with it to spice it up a little. To make it a little more fun, I added some lace panels, and it took me less than an hour, start to finish!

DIY Denim Leather Jacket

I saw this jacket in Urban Outfitters a while ago and couldn't help but think how easy it would be to do it myself, and save the 100$ that it cost. Lucky for me, I even had everything I needed laying around the house!

All you need for this project is:

a denim jacket or vest
a faux leather jacket
seam ripper
fabric scissors
pinking shears
black thread
sewing machine

DIY Slouchy Beanie

A friend of my mom's gave me a great gift of fabric she was getting rid of, and in that load of fabrics I found a fabulous gray knitted fabric that I thought would be perfect for a beanie! Now that summer is sadly over and winter is fast approaching, theres nothing like a cozy beanie for the early morning walks to class, or better yet the days when you don't want to deal with your hair.

Meet my beanie-loving adorable roommate Lauren!

DIY Halloween Costumes

This year, my roommate and I decided to approach Halloweekend in a way that would not only make sure we were original but would also go easy on our wallets. So I signed up to make the costumes!
I can't take credit for the loofah idea however, I saw it months ago on Pinterest, and knew that's what I wanted to be, even if none of my friends would do it with me. My roommate Lauren wanted to be something more in the Halloween spirit, so we decided to turn her into a mummy.

Simple Shoulder Cut-Out Top

This is my mom's linen button down, which I found in the attic and decided to use. I've seen a lot of shoulder cut-outs on the web and think its a really great simple look. If you haven't already noticed, I absolutely love tops that have some sort of cut out, or are backless (like this collared shirt, or this cute tube top).

DIY Pants to Top

I found yet another lovely tutorial on Kristen's blog, Studs and Pearls, which gave me the idea for this top! Here, you can see how she uses pants for the top of a romper, which I think is great! I however don't like wearing rompers so I decided to make a top instead, using the horrible pants you can see if you read more! Its such a simple and easy DIY!!

DIY Bubble Hem Skirt

Bubble hems are the next big trend this season. This bubble skirt could probably use a little more volume but it was so simple that I didn't want to mess with it. This DIY is even simple enough for beginner sewers and even those without a sewing machine! Its probably one of my favorite things I've made to date. The pretty blue and the black lace look amazing together, and even though I'm a little tired of lace these days, I think its a good addition. Read more to see just how easy and simple this DIY is!

Football Crop Top

p.s   I am wearing shorts here!

My boyfriend gave me this t-shirt a few months ago, and since then its just been laying around my room. It's way too big to actually wear but I love it. It's surprisingly from 1997 and so I couldn't throw it out. Crop tops have been all the rage recently so I decided I would make a cute football crop top with this oversized men's t-shirt. And it was super easy to do!

Mini Skirt to Mini Top

This purple skirt has a really cute aztec-ish pattern, but I really don't need another mini skirt, so I figured I'd turn it into a cute top! I'm a little tired of backless/back cut-outs so I figured I would switch it up and try a cut out in the front.
